Since the very beginning, the all-electric vehicle segment has been saturated by compact cars hatchbacks, and sedans but hasn’t exactly favored SUVs. That’s where vehicles like the Chevrolet Bolt EV came in, to offer the best of both worlds, all the great benefits of a crossover, which includes more cabin space, an elevated ride, more ground clearance, and more, along with an all-electric powertrain.
The compact Chevrolet Bolt EV, launched by General Motors back in 2017, was the perfect recipe for an electric SUV, with a stylish appearance, comfy interior, and nearly 200 miles of range from its strong battery.

The 2022 Chevrolet Bolt EUV measures around 6-inches longer than the standard Bolt. The old Bolt EV already benefited from its considerably large frontal cabin area. The increased overall length on the new Bolt EUV results in a roomier cabin, with extra legroom and headroom, to give the front and the rear occupants a less confined and more comfortable experience.
However, despite the lengthened body and increased cabin area, the EUV doesn’t exactly escape the compact SUV segment. In dimension, the Bolt EUV is smaller than the Ford Mach-E. Plus, the “U” doesn’t add much utilitarian capability. In fact, the EUV has less cargo space than the original Bolt EV. On the bright side, you’ll still get additional storage with the rear seats folded, if you need to haul more cargo.
The interior of the predecessor attracted heavy criticism. For the most part, the interior felt low-rent, comprising cheap materials and thin seats that made long trips incredibly unpleasant. Chevrolet listened and corrected all these shortcomings with the EUV’s interior, which has significantly improved cabin with premium materials that add a luxury appeal. And unlike other EVs, the Bolt EUV’s interior took a conventional approach, utilizing knobs and switches.

With the 2022 Chevrolet Bolt EUV, you won’t have to fork over more money just for more technological amenities since most of its features come standard, including a wide digital gauge display, and an even wider 10.2-inch touchscreen display, as well as a Wi-Fi Hotspot, to name a few. The Chevrolet Bolt EUV also provides you unlimited access and integration with the Chevrolet-specific smartphone app, which, like in the previous model, keeps drivers in control of their Chevy vehicle, allowing them to monitor the car’s stats, access the family sharing feature, as well as the roadside assistance. Its power comes from a 65.0-kWh battery, which pairs with a 200-hp electric motor, providing an excellent drive capability and driving range of 250 miles on a single charge, making the Bolt EUV an ideal city commuting electric SUV, serving shorter trips as well as highway travels.
The 2022 Chevrolet Bolt EUV comes with a standard 120-volt charging setup that allows you to charge the SUV at home. But anyone who needs fast-charging capabilities should opt for the 240-volt setup, which can add 95 miles of driving range in just 30 minutes.
The electric motors provide good throttle feedback, propelling the EUV from zero to 60 mph in just under 7.0 seconds, which is surprisingly energetic for an SUV of its kind. For added efficiency, the Chevy Bolt EUV comes with an advanced regenerative braking system.
