Genesee County Fair over the years
GENESEE COUNTY, MI -- A weeklong celebration featuring tractor pulls, monster truck shows and live music performances begins next week at the Genesee County Fair.
It begins on Monday, Aug. 22 and goes through Sunday, Aug. 28 at the Everett A. Cummings Event Center, 6130 E. Mt. Morris Road, in Genesee Township.
Fair Fun Passes are $40 and get you in to each grandstand show throughout the week. Individual tickets for specific performances are also available on the website.
Nelly, a hip-hop icon with multiple collaborations with country music artists, is headlining the Genesee County Fair on Friday night. Individual tickets for that show are $45.

Grandstand events will take place nightly throughout the week. There’s a monster truck show Monday, Bump ‘N’ Run on Tuesday, Figure 8 Derby on Wednesday, Tyler Farr concert on Thursday, Nelly concert on Friday, Rodeo on Saturday and Truck and Tractor Pull on Sunday.
There will also be carnival games, tiger shows, dog shows, professional wrestling, carnival rides, a beer garden and petting zoo daily, according to the fair’s website.
Here are the week’s grandstand events:
Monster Truck Show - 7 p.m. Monday, Aug. 22
This show is presented by Complete Towing.
Tickets are available one hour before the event for $25 each.
Bump ‘N’ Run – 7 p.m. Tuesday, Aug. 23
This show is presented by Republic Services.
Tickets are available one hour before the event for $15 each.
Figure 8 Derby – 7 p.m. Wednesday, Aug. 24
This show is presented by Mid-States Bolt & Screw.
Tickets are available one hour before the event for $15 each.
Tyler Farr with special guest Waylon Hanel – 7 p.m. Thursday, Aug. 25
This show is presented by Budweiser.
Tickets are available one hour before the event for $25 each.
Nelly - 7 p.m. Friday, Aug. 26
This show is presented by RMI.
Tickets are available one hour before the event for $45 each.
Rodeo - 7 p.m. Saturday, Aug. 27
This event is presented by Randy Wise.
Tickets are available one hour before the event for $20 each.
Truck & Tractor Pull - 7 p.m. Sunday, Aug 28
This event is presented by Flint New Holland.
Tickets are available one hour before the event for $15 each.
